Privacy Policy

Hide Photo is built privacy-first. The whole point of the app is to keep your photos and videos private — so the app is designed to never see, collect, or transmit the media you store in it. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.

1. What we collect

Your vault stays on your device. Hide Photo does not require an account, login, or email to use. The photos, videos, Live Photos, albums, favorites, and notes you add to your vault are stored locally on your device only.

• We do not collect, request, upload, or transmit your vault contents to our servers.
• We do not sell or share your data with data brokers or advertisers.
• We do not use your photos or videos to train AI or machine-learning models.
• There are no third-party advertising or tracking SDKs in the app.

2. Camera & intruder capture

With your permission, Hide Photo can use the front camera to capture a photo of anyone who enters an incorrect passcode (the "intruder capture" feature). These photos and the related failed-attempt log are stored locally inside the app on your device and are never uploaded to us. You can disable this feature at any time in the app's settings.

3. Photos access

Hide Photo requests access to your photo library so you can import pictures and videos into your secret albums. Imported media is stored inside the app's encrypted storage. Originals remain in your camera roll unless you choose to remove them — that action is always your decision.

4. Face ID & Touch ID

Hide Photo can use Face ID or Touch ID to unlock your vault. Biometric authentication is handled entirely by iOS through Apple's secure framework. The app never sees or stores your biometric data.

5. Local storage & security

• Vault media is stored in the app's encrypted, in-app storage with file protection enabled.
• We do not sync or back up your vault to our servers.
• Whether your in-app data is included in device or iCloud backups depends on your iOS backup settings, which are controlled by you.

6. Subscriptions

Hide Photo may offer optional in-app purchases or an auto-renewing subscription, handled entirely by Apple through your App Store account. We never see or store your payment details. Subscription management, including cancellation, is done in your Apple ID settings.

7. Support requests

If you contact us through the support page, you choose what to share. Any details you provide (such as an email for us to reply to) are used only to answer your request. Please never send us photos or videos from your vault.

8. Children

Hide Photo is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13.

9. How to delete your data

Because your vault lives on your device, you can remove items at any time inside the app, or delete the entire vault by deleting the app. Uninstalling Hide Photo removes your locally stored vault from the device.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
